Jacklyn (Jackie) Sturm is an Intel Corporate Vice President and the General Manager of Intel’s multi-billion-dollar Global Supply Management Group. Her organization is frequently recognized for high performance as winners of Intel’s prestigious Quality and Achievement Awards and was most recently cited by Gartner as #6 in its Top 25 Global Supply Chains.  Jackie is a member of Intel's Ethics and Compliance Oversight Committee, and directs the Supply Chain Environmental and Social Governance program, which includes Intel's first-mover Conflict Minerals initiative.   

Jackie is passionate about life in general, but particularly economic regeneration, sustainability and people.  As a committed advocate of the criticality of value-added manufacturing, engineering and trade as the economic foundations of thriving societies, Jackie joined Hewlett Packard, Apple, and Intel, where she has held various positions, including CFO for Technology & Manufacturing.  She was a founding member of Intel’s investment arm, Intel Capital.  Jackie’s leadership focus is on talent and professional growth and she sponsors targeted advancement programs such as Women in Supply Chain Excellence to address challenges faced by women in technology.   

Outside of work, Jackie is an avid hockey fan, and enjoys beekeeping, organic farming, baking and as much Zumba as possible to offset the effects of the baking.  

Responsible for healthcare globally and Indirect in the US, for Philips, we are delighted for Richard to be joining our faculty of speakers and hearing the voice of a Medical Device leader. Sharing the changing business model of Philips to adapt to a new, tighter and leaner environment, Richard will divulge how Philips are rethinking how they go to market, how they make use of new technologies, notably cloud based technology and how the role of procurement is adapting in line with this responsibility for healthcare globally and Indirect in the US. For Philips, we are delighted for Richard to be joining our faculty of speakers and hearing the voice of a Medical Device leader.

    Shawn is responsible for leading a $5B global sourcing organization that focuses on global synergy efforts, risk management, supply chain optimization, supplier relationships, supplier innovation and overall cost out for the business.  Shawn started his 20-year career with GE Appliances as a Supplier Quality Engineer and continued to complete roles of greater responsibility in Quality, Six Sigma, and Purchasing.  

    Shawn earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Missouri Western State University at which time he was commissioned as an officer in the US Army and entered active duty service.  Later, Shawn was accepted into Cornell University where he earned his Master’s in Chemical Engineering.  Shawn ended his 11-year military career teaching Chemistry at the United States Military Academy at West Point.   

Rob Hubbard is the Chief Procurement Officer at H.B. Fuller, which is a global adhesive producer with $2.1B annual sales headquartered in Vadnais Heights, MN. Rob has degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, and Aerospace Engineering. Prior to joining H.B. Fuller in 2012, he was with the Procter & Gamble Company for 22 years where his career started in R&D, transitioned to Procurement, and included many years as an expat in Europe. At H.B. Fuller, Rob has taken the Procurement function from a tactical, regionally focused organization to a global, strategic sourcing organization recognized for delivering excellent supply assurance, high best total value, and new innovation from suppliers.

David currently serves as the Chief Procurement Officer for publicly held CONMED Corporation, a global medical technology company that specializes in the development and sale of surgical and patient monitoring products. David began his professional career as a Chemical Process Engineer with GE Plastics and spent ten years advancing through several disciplines including Operations, Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales Management. He then transferred to GE Capital Fleet Services where he spent the next three years serving as the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing.

Following a successful tenure with GE, David was recruited by Boston Scientific Corporation, a leading medical device manufacturer. There he served as the lead corporate architect of the original strategic sourcing organization developed in partnership with McKinsey & Company. He then Co‐Founded Perimeter Brand Packaging, a Nypro/Jabil joint venture company and would spend the next 12 years as President & GM partnering with some of the world’s most recognized brands before selling his stake to new ownership in 2014.

David spent the next two years working with the Institute of Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University conducting business training and career mentoring services for transitioning veterans at US military installations around the world. He has also been actively involved with early stage companies both in operating and fund‐raising positions as well as advisory roles.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts‐Lowell (graduated Summa Cum Laude) and a Masters of Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance and International Business, from Bentley University. He currently serves on the Chemical Engineering Industrial Advisory Board at UMass‐Lowell.

Ted T Olshefski is a results-driven procurement and supply chain leader and as Senior Procurement Leader he is focused exclusively in leading Panasonic North America (PNA) Direct Procurement organization. He has 12+ years of procurement and supply chain management experience leading teams both as a daily practitioner and practice line leader.  Ted’s expertise in business process transformation, cost reduction, strategic sourcing, demand management, organization re-design and technology enablement.  Ted was most recently with GEP (formerly Global eProcure) in Clark NJ as a Global Business Development Leader responsible for GEP’s Procurement Services line of business which included Procurement Advisory Services, End-to-End (E2E) Services (indirect & direct procurement/sourcing), Technology and Sourcing Support Services. Prior to GEP, Ted led RGP’s (former division of Deloitte & Touché) supply chain and procurement (SCP) practice for the TriState market and was responsible for expanding market opportunities for the SCP practice and building client relationships resulting in revenue growth and client penetration. In addition, he has held procurement and supply chain operations roles focusing on areas such as spend/savings analysis, strategic sourcing, business process transformation, cost reduction, and technology enablement across multiple industries that included both public sector and private sector customers. Ted resides in Northern New Jersey.

Andy Weisel, Vice President, Direct Procurement and Center of Excellence (COE) at Glanbia is an executive that has lead teams in the top five nutrition companies in the world (Glanbia, Amway/Nutrilite, Herbalife, NBTY, and Perrigo).  He has launched many strategic sourcing teams with tactical to strategic transformations over his 25 year career creating value and large cost savings.   He has also facilitated over 150 classes for the University of Phoenix in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, Lean/Sigma, global operations, and operations management in both MBA and undergraduate classes.  Andy obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri in Engineering and his MBA in Global Management from University of Phoenix.  

John is a Supply Chain executive with over 20 years of experience in the Healthcare industry, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, nutritionals, and consumer health segments.  He is currently Director of Procurement Sustainability at Johnson & Johnson, where he leads supply chain transparency, supplier sustainability, and risk management teams, including the end-to-end Conflict Minerals compliance process.

Prior to his current position, John was a Category Leader in the Global Procurement group, a role that he helped design as part of J&J’s transformation to an enterprise-wide Category management structure.  In this capacity, he worked across J&J operating companies to devise and execute procurement strategies for key components and raw materials that resulted in consistently high quality, value, and innovation from world-class suppliers, including a focus on a diverse supply base.

Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, John held various leadership roles with Bristol-Myers Squibb in the areas of Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, technology transfer, and R&D.

John earned undergraduate degrees in Metallurgical Engineering and in Mathematics from Colorado School of Mines, his M.S. Metallurgy from the University of Utah, and his MBA from the Rutgers Executive Program.

Cheryl Grant is a senior supply chain professional with over twenty years of experience in Supply Chain and Negotiation.  She has led a number of Global Supply Chain teams which focused on solving procurement, planning, logistics and quality challenges. Cheryl has extensive experience in manufacturing environments as well as in collaboration with Engineering and Business Development teams to bring new products to market. 

In Cheryl’s current role as a Strategic Sourcing Manager at Viasat, she collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and fill supplier gaps, negotiate overarching contracts, resolve supply escalation issues and achieve cost reduction targets.  She also partners with business area technical teams to develop supplier strategies and next-generation products.

Outside of work, Cheryl is a F1 fan and enjoys cooking, gardening, and volunteering in a local school as a grant-writer and fundraiser.

Michel Mestrinelli is Global Director, Global Strategic Sourcing at Whirlpool Corporation, the world's largest home appliance maker headquartered in Michigan, United States. A Brazilian native, Michel graduated from Faculdade de Engenharia Industrial with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and post graduated from Ibmec Business School in Business Administration, both in Brazil. Since then, Michel has pursued an international professional career in Strategic Sourcing and lived in South America, North America, Europe and Oceania. Walk-the-talk, diversity, integrity, teamwork are amongst Michel's values. Married and father of Ian - love to spend time with his family doing whatever. Passionate about sports (tennis, surfing, soccer), nature and travel.

Mike Brown is a Senior Value Added Ingredients Sourcing Manager for Land O’ Lakes Inc. based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is a Supply Chain professional with experience in operational improvement and change management. Mike’s competencies include strategic sourcing, category strategy development, supplier relationship management, spend analytics, and transportation/logistics optimization. Prior to joining Land O’ Lakes Mike worked as a consultant for Ernst & Young LLP as a procurement advisor. Mike’s industry experience spans across multiple sectors including: agriculture, mining and metals, financial services, automotive, retail, and media and entertainment. He has sourced a multitude of categories including both direct and indirect materials such as commodities (metals), value added ingredients (i.e. flavors, colors, enzymes, etc.), technology (copiers and printers, reprographic services), telecommunications, textiles, creative and digital services, publicity and events, and promotional items.

Mark Tschopp is the Purchasing Manager of Direct Materials with Gerdau.   Since joining Gerdau 7 years ago, he has managed the strategic purchases of alloys while leading the global team collaboration process. In addition to alloys, Mark also manages the refractory contracts for Gerdau North America and currently leads the cross functional team (commercial and operations) to address the commercial, technical and strategic approach to refractory implementation and consumption.

Mark’s 19 year career has been focused in the procurement profession.  During this time Mark has been associated with the metals industry from both the service center sector as well steel production.

Mark graduated from the University of South Florida and is a CPM with the Institute of Supply Management.

Brad Daggett is Bray International’s Global Procurement Manager, based in Houston, Texas. He is responsible for a global sourcing organization that focuses on global synergy efforts, risk management, supply chain optimization, supplier relationships, supplier innovation and overall cost out for the business.  In his present capacity, Brad influences cross-functional global champions in both sustainability and supplier diversity, fostering an environment where collaboration can occur throughout the business with sustainable solutions and diversity of suppliers to meet Bray’s procurement needs in the various world regions.  He has led the design and deployment of Bray’s organizational procurement model including social governance, eProcurement, and Conflict Minerals initiative.   His time with Bray has included several years as an expat in China, which was instrumental in taking the Procurement function at Bray from a tactical, regionally focused organization to a global, strategic sourcing organization recognized for delivering excellent supply assurance, high best total value, and new innovation from suppliers.

Bryan is leading a direct materials global sourcing team that focuses on materials cost per watt, capacity expansion, supplier selection/management, supplier innovation and risk management.  Bryan began working for First Solar in 2008 and has held various direct and indirect supply chain roles across its Module and EPC business units all with increased leadership responsibility.  Prior to First Solar, he worked in Procurement at Linde Gas LLC in Cleveland, OH from 2004 – 2007. 

Bryan has a B.S. in Supply Chain Management from Bowling Green State University (2003) and an M.B.A. from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University (2007).  Additionally, he is an active board member of the Supply Chain Institute at Bowling Green State University.

Robert (Bob) Burns, PMP is a Program/Operations/Supply Chain Management Professional with over thirty three year’s progressive technology management experience in DOD, DHS and Public Safety.

Robert started his career out of high school with Motorola as an electrical/mechanical assembler on Motorola military systems programs. He ascended through the ranks as a field technician, manufacturing manager, and manager of operations.

General Dynamics acquired Motorola's Government Electronics Group in 2001 where Robert has held a variety of operations and program leadership roles. He is currently manages Supply Chain Enterprise Procurement Solutions at General Dynamics Mission Systems and serves as an adjunct member of the General Dynamics Corporate Supply Chain Council.

Robert holds Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix and is a certified Program Management Professional (PMP).

Kyla joined IBM Watson in 2014 and has focused on bringing AI into the marketplace for legal and professional services. Building on experience with cross-industry consulting for process strategy and efficiency, she has worked with diverse teams to accelerate solutions. Her first product, Watson Compare & Comply, released in 2017.

JUAN CARLOS FERNÁNDEZ is Director, WW Procurement R&D (West Coast & ASIA) at Becton Dickinson with over 25 years of Global Strategic Sourcing experience. In his current role he oversees 20+ new product introductions (NPI) globally with a revenue growth of aprox. $1Busd and leads the global sourcing R&D team covering West Cost and Asia for EMS, Electro, mechanical, instrumentation, disposables and instrument software categories.  He also serves as the primary interface with the R&D organization by providing strategic sourcing support & alignment from R&D perspective linked with the sourcing category strategies.

Prior to joining BD Juan Carlos held various key Global Strategic Roles at Whirlpool Corporation (appliances) over 18 years in 2 countries and various global regions and at JCI (automotive) over 5 years. Juan Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Master in Business Administration (MBA) Specialize in Industrial Engineering.

Julienne Ryan is a motivational speaker, trainer, facilitator and coach with 30 years of experience working with individuals and groups to develop and utilize their skills so they advance professionally. She has been featured at various Supply Chain events like Procure Con Indirect Sourcing West, ISM- New Jersey, ISM 7 Counties, and the Art of Procurement Podcast as a speaker and panel facilitator.

Ryan utilizes storytelling and humor as learning tool and works with individuals and teams to develop their unique talents and strengths. Her methods allows clients to see themselves in new ways so they can become more productive, improve communications, inclusion, knowledge transfer and collaboration.

She began her professional career at age five when she did TV commercials and learned important things like “the teamsters always eat first,” her social security number and how to endorse checks for bank deposit.

Ryan studied psychology in college because she wanted to understand humans. Later she enrolled in an Ivy League graduate school where she paid oodles of money to validate her prior on-the-job learning experiences. 

Ryan evolved into working in “Talent Management,” a fancy way of saying “try to find people and keep them moderately happy and productive.” Her background includes roles with Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, small businesses and academic institutions with assignments responsible for supporting organizational development, human resources, and administration through change and transition.

Paul holds a management degree from Santa Clara University in California and studied international business at Sofia University in Tokyo. His entire career has been about improving corporate profitability through efficient operations and management of spend. From his work at Ariba, Softface and Blackhog, Paul’s specialty has been to harness standard software and services to create specific solutions for companies large and small, local and international. Continuing this at Ivalua, Paul manages all customer-facing operations for the Americas.

Greg has 30 years of experience helping manufacturers improve their operating performance. As Vice President, Manufacturing he leads Ivalua’s efforts to establish market leadership in the manufacturing sector.

Greg was previously the President of Directworks, an enterprise technology company serving the direct materials sourcing and supplier management needs of manufacturers. Directworks was acquired by Ivalua in 2017.

Prior to Directworks, Greg was a Director at Tenzing Consulting, where he led supply chain transformation engagements at Fortune 500 and private-equity portfolio companies. Greg’s enterprise software experience includes sales and operations roles at SmartOps (SAP), the market leader in enterprise inventory optimization solutions, and FreeMarkets (SAP-Ariba), the pioneer in global B2B e-sourcing solutions.

Greg’s early career included 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership roles at GE and PPG. 

David Vallejo, Senior Director SAP Ariba for Direct, has more than 16 years of Supply Chain Management experience helping many globally acting companies define and implement their supply chain strategy around collaborative planning, execution and direct procurement automation across a multi-tier supply network.

As part of SAP Ariba’s Digital Transformation Office, David is one of the recognized leaders in the direct procurement community bringing digital innovations into a company’s value agenda. Prior to joining SAP, David had a number of global leadership roles managing Global Customer Delivery and Solution Management at icon-scm and E2open and has been honored with the “Pros-to-Know” award in 2014 by the Supply & Demand Chain Executive Board.

David has a Master (Dipl. Ing.) in Computer Science from the Berufsakademie University in Mannheim, Germany.

Bindiya Vakil is CEO and founder of Resilinc and is a recognized thought leader in the area of supply chain risk management. She is a subject matter expert having worked in sourcing, materials management, and supply chain roles in the high-tech industry at companies including Flextronics, Cisco, and Broadcom.

She is credited with developing the market for supply chain risk management solutions when she founded Resilinc. She holds the patent for evaluating and presenting the supply chain vulnerability and risk of an enterprise. She is also the founder of the Global Supply Chain Resiliency Council, a non-profit dedicated to advancing the discipline of supply chain risk management.

Ms. Vakil has a master’s degree in supply chain management from MIT and an MBA in Finance.

Mark is the Founder, President & CEO of FerniaCreek LLC, a global supply chain consulting group based in Jefferson City, Missouri. Mark is also the 2019 CSCMP Chairman of the Board-Elect (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals), a 7000+ member supply chain organization and is co-lead & instructor for St. Louis University’s Global Supply Chain & Trade Compliance Certificate Program within the Center of Excellence.

In his last role at Monsanto Company, Mark led global teams accountable for leading and delivering excellence in global supplier relationship management (SRM), sustainability and supplier diversity, championed the global procurement & supply chain collegiate talent pipeline and procurement communications strategy. Mark led and developed the company’s formal global trade organization, standardized global processes and suppliers, and created and led the global trade operations & compliance IT digitization optimization project.

Mark has over 35 years of leadership experience having worked previously for the Monsanto, Upjohn and ELM companies.

Tobias Larsson is a VP at DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation and Head of DHL Resilience360. Over the past seven years, he has worked in product innovation to build insights and knowledge on what it takes to build resilient supply chains. Through supporting logistics, transportation and business continuity professionals and understanding requirements to build resiliency for brittle supply chains, he has spearheaded the development of industry-leading solutions and technologies that support a holistic approach to supply chain risk management. As a supply chain security and resiliency expert, he has participated in a large number of conferences as a presenter and facilitated sessions around supply chain risk management.

Tobias started his career at DHL thirteen years ago and has held various roles within the Express and Freight divisions of DHL. Before working for DHL, he was involved in start-up activities in his home country Sweden. Tobias has extensive work experience across the United States, the Netherlands, Finland and Iceland, Turkey and Germany. He holds a Master degree in Engineering and Management from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
