Kent Yan (Past Speaker)

Kent Yan’s business career began as a production engineer for PepsiCo in Shenzhen, China. Here, he also started a company trading computers between Hong Kong and China. Kent soon moved to the United States and obtained an MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT as well as an MBA in Finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Back in Hong Kong, Kent worked for Deutsche Bank Securities and, later, Bristol-Myers Squibb as an IT manager. Eventually, he started his own company sourcing manufacturing in China for major U.S. brands (Anheuser-Busch, Constellation Brand, Anderson Windows, and Babcock Power). Kent’s knowledge and experience in technology, finance, and international trade culminated in founding TraDove, a social business network which solves the fundamental trust problem in B2B.
